  1. Fill out our puppy Application

Start by completing our Puppy Application Form. This helps us get to know you, your home, and your lifestyle so we can match you with the perfect puppy.

  2. Read through our contract

Once your application is approved, please take time to carefully review our Puppy Contract. This outlines our health guarantees, responsibilities, and expectations for both breeder and new family.

  3. Sign the contract

After you’ve reviewed and agreed to the terms, sign and return the contract along with your deposit to reserve your spot on our waiting list.

  4. Watch for updates

We love sharing our puppies’ growth and milestones! We post weekly updates on our Howixx German Shepherds Facebook page so you can watch your future puppy grow and play alongside their littermates.

  5. Puppy PLACEMENT

We take great care to ensure every puppy is placed in the home that best suits their unique temperament, energy level, and future lifestyle. Here’s how our placement process works:

    1. Reservation and Availability

When puppies are born, reservations are taken by gender only, not by specific puppy. This allows us to match each puppy based on temperament rather than appearance alone. We’ll always let you know how many spots are still available for each gender.

    2. Temperament Testing (7–8 Weeks)

Between 7–8 weeks of age, each puppy goes through a temperament evaluation. This helps us understand their individual personalities, energy levels, confidence, and social tendencies. The results of this testing guide placement — ensuring that families are matched with a puppy whose personality fits their goals and lifestyle.

    3. Matching Puppies to Families

Placements are based on suitability first, as determined by temperament testing.

However, we do take your preferences into account (such as color or personality traits you’re drawn to). If more than one puppy is a good match for your family, you’ll be able to choose from those suitable options.

    4. Special Considerations

Our higher-drive, sportier puppies are matched with working or sport homes, while our calmer, family-oriented puppies are placed in companion homes. This ensures every puppy thrives in the right environment — and every family ends up with the perfect fit.

  6. Taking your puppy home

When your puppy reaches the right age (8 weeks), it’s time for the big day! We’ll provide a go-home package, vaccination records, and tips for a smooth transition. We love staying in touch, so please keep us updated with pictures and stories as your puppy grows.
